What is XP?
When you practice Japanese on JPDrills, you earn points that we call experience points. We abbreviate experience points to XP for a shorter version.
You earn XP by answering questions correctly. XP is given according to your mastery level of that question, with more XP going to questions you've mastered. This gives the incentive to keep answering correctly so that you can get more points long-term. Here's the specific breakdown:
Mastery Level | Grades | Mastery Symbol | XP Gained |
New | Your first attempt at this question. | 1
Novice | Your weighted grade is 0 - 50% | 1
Proficient | Your weighted grade is either:
| 2 | |
Mastered | Your weighted grade is above 80% and you've practiced this more than 5 times | 4 |
Please note that as we continue to test new features, the experience may slightly differ from time to time. XP is subject to change.
